A bakery in Ramanathapuram (Tamil Nadu) paid tribute to Legend of Football Diego Maradona by make statue of cake 

Maradona died due to cardio arrest in November 25 2020 at his home 




What's the story ?

       "Every year , during the Christmas and New Year celebrations , the bakery makes cakes of statues of celebrities and displays them in public .But last few years , the bakery has to put up statues of Ilayaraja , Abdul Kalam  and Bahrathiar in keksila,"told by employee of the bakery


"We made this statue to pay homage to the footballer who died last month and to urge the youth play in the field instead of using phones and computer," told by the employee


Moreover, he said that Maradona will be " remembered in the same way as Tendulkar is remembered for cricket , Usain Bolt for 100 - metre dash and Mike Tyson for boxing ."


Diego Maradona was suffering from health issues laterly , and also underwent successful surgery for possible bleeding on his brain after being admitted to a local hospital in Buenos Aires with signs of depression.




One of the greatest players in the history of football, Maradona was one of the two joint winners of the FIFA Player of the 20th century award. Maradona played in four FIFA World Cups , including the 1986 World Cup in Mexico
